Cedar Hill
Nashvilles Progressive Playground
Cedar Hill brings a different flavor to the MidTN trail scene.
Rather than functioning strictly as an XC loop, the network combines approachable singletrack with climbing routes, fast descending trails and increasingly progressive features.
Lazy River provides an approachable green introduction, while longer trails such as Pedal Tavern and Bluegrass build mileage. Copperhead Road adds more descending, and trails including Showtime, Easy Peasy and Double Shot push the system toward a much more gravity-oriented experience.
Don't be fooled by the name Easy Peasy: Trailforks currently rates it Black Diamond, downhill-only, with drops and jumps. Double Shot takes things another step and carries a Double Black Diamond rating.
That range makes Cedar Hill an excellent destination for riders who want to progress beyond traditional XC riding.

Parking & Trailhead
As you enter the park from Old Hickory Blvd., stay right on Nesbit Dr. until you’ve passed part of the lake on the left. There is a small parking lot (36.272195, -86.743830) to the left with the trailhead adjacent on the opposite side of the road. This is a temporary trailhead and parking solution as plans include a more permanent lot and trailhead once further phases of trail building are completed.
Enter the woods via the visible connector trail and proceed to the first intersection. Signage with instructions for which direction the trail should be ridden on given days is visible upon entering the woods.
