Trail Work Opportunities

See A Need - Fill A Need

Our Nashville area trails are maintained by volunteers. Basic stuff like lopping face slappers, removing branches off the trail and trimming the edge is work that every rider can do. Those are perfect activities for rainy days or when the trail is too wet to ride. Feel free to do this on your own or organize a group to do this stuff.

After a storm… we often have branches everywhere and even big trees fall on the trail. This is when the community really steps up. Taking care of the small to medium stuff with a rake, hand saw or even a sawzall makes a big difference. We stay in touch with a group of volunteers that take care of the bigger trees and saw needs.

If you want to be more involved in trail stewardship… we have a dedicated Slack group where we talk trail needs and even future stuff. Send and email to vp@sorbamidtn.org for more info, with questions or other ways to get involved.
