2023 Happy New Year!

The new year is here and with it comes new opportunities! This year we are teaming up with local bike shops to offer some sweet giveaways to our members. First up, we have monthly gift card giveaways for a lucky member. Big thank you to our incredible LBS’s that support SORBA and our network of local trails. All you have to do to is JOIN. Winners will be randomly picked each month.

Upcoming January Workdays:

Henry Horton State Park - Chapel Hill, TN

We are working with the rangers to build the first phase of the new MTB trails at HHSP! We are aiming for a timeline to open the first phase of this trail system in 2023. You can sign up for trail notifications and volunteering through TN State Parks here. We will also cross post them to our event calendar and social media. Upcoming dates below.

1/13 - Henry Horton State Park

1/21 - Henry Horton State Park

1/27 - Henry Horton State Park

Update 9/2/23

Henry Horton South Loop has opened to the public. It is currently around 4 miles of decently varying terrain from flowy singletrack to a few technical bits thrown in. If you head out there for the day, there is a restaurant on the park property as you head out of the park! They have great food and it’s a good way to cool down after a ride.

We will be updating our trail conditions page with any closures or guidelines specific to each trail, so please check back regularly as this uncertain time continues to develop and change.

A Word from IMBA

“Right now, protecting each other is more important than mountain biking. Staying home is essential to safeguard our communities and slow the spread of COVID-19. Our trails will be waiting for us. IMBA wants to make sure we will all be there for our trails.”

— Dave Wiens, IMBA Executive Director

We’ve compiled a list of updates and known trail closures, but we’re encouraging everyone to follow IMBA’s COVID-19 guidance during this time:

Check with the park, land manager and/or local government regularly for updates. This information is changing rapidly. Some governments have identified parks and trails as essential facilities, others have closed parks and trails due to overcrowding. When in doubt: stay home.
